What snek is this? [South-Central Texas]

I also took a video, but when I tried to upload it, it wouldn’t allow me to :C

Found this guy while out bone hunting (I like to scavenge various kinds of bones, mostly skulls, jawbones, and antlers). I really like snakes, and I handle them regularly at my job, but Im not so great with ID’ing them. This one was a pretty good size, and had its head lifted when I saw its gorgeous scales! When I made an attempt to get closer to I could get a better picture, it rattled its tail at me to let me know *very politely* it didn’t want me to get closer. I didn’t want to make it mad so I went on my way. Aside from the picture, it had a red tongue and was rather slow moving. Sorry that the pic isn’t really good, but it was about as close I could get for a picture with it still.

NUH UH (+ Cloudy boi tax)

I don’t care if I’m sneezing and getting itchy eyes for the rest of my life, I will smooch my boi as much as I like 😤

btw, Cloud’s bunny condo is really only for when I can’t monitor him, and it’s very spacious.

currently working on degreasing this deer skull. I found this waxy stuff at the back end of the dentition, and the only thing I can think of it being is fat coagulated in these pockets. this particular skull is SUPER greasy, for what reason I don’t know

I work at a wildlife and exotic animal reserve, and one of the pigeons pushed their egg out of its nest. Sadly, neither me or my coworkers could save it, it was already gone. Since pigeons (domestic) aren’t protected animals, I was able to leave with it in hopes I could preserve it. otherwise, it would have gotten thrown away. I’ve decided to name it Archimedes, and I’m hoping the maceration process won’t dissolve the skull. if all goes well, I’ll post it here.
