My partner, r/ThisWriterReads and I are staying in rental house on our vacation where it has ceiling fan and smoke alarm in each bedrooms.

Last night, I turned fan on in our bedroom for first time. Smoke alarm began chirping.

We moved to other bedroom and I turned ceiling fan off in original room.

Chirping stopped.

This morning, we tested fan and realized smoke alarm was triggered by it.

It made us wonder if its normal when ceiling fan share same electrical line as smoke alarm?
