Question is in the title. Are there any FX or particular pedals you use besides reverb/delay with your contact Mac noise box? DIY is great if possible to keep this in the spirit of “Lo-fi”.

Currently I’m building a piezo preamp and delay (pcbpedals.com Dark Rift Delay).

I am asking because I have read a ton of the Catholic author Gene Wolfe, who has explored this idea in his fiction. He has also stated that, essentially, the ancients were not stupid, that they were praying to _something_ when they sacrificed to e.g. Zeus. The first commandment is very clear on the fact that no other gods are to be worshipped ahead of God the Lord, but to my understanding does not clearly rule out the _existence_ of other gods.
