One corner of my right eye has inflammation and has bothered me for years...gotten worse recently?
Its been maybe 15 years that I have noticed my one corner of my eye has always been bothering me. I distinctly remember looking in the mirror on many occassions over the years thinking something must be in it, but never seeing anything. Then it would improve and I would forget about it.
I can see some moderate inflammation in the area that is bothering me, but never discharge, mild reddness in both eyes that improves after waking up and with some eye drops.
I was on Accutane in my teens as well, may acne was horrendous and completely cleared after, so honestly if this is a by product of that benefit, I might be okay with it.
I recently went in to have a check up, I was diagnosed with allergic conjunctivitis. To my knowledge I have never had any allergies. One of the most recent flare ups started after being around my partners dogs that sheds a ton, so maybe I am incorrect?
My optometrist prescribed steroids and pataday and within a week or two I got better, it flared up again a month later. Anyone might have any suggestions as to what this might be?
In my state season allergies are quite bad and its the worst time of the year as well.
Maybe I am overthinking all of this and it is simply allergies. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
