Two days ago, I received an email from Instagram. “If you do not take action regarding your a.rafiyucel account, you will lose access.” When I logged into Instagram, it stated: "We need a photo of your official ID showing your date of birth. This can be a birth certificate, passport, or another official ID.“ It also stated, ”You can use a non-official ID, such as a library or school ID, as long as it includes your name, date of birth, and a photo." Taking the warning into account, I first appealed by taking a photo of my Turkish Republic Driver’s License with my phone camera. However, my appeal was rejected, and I was granted one final chance. This time, I took a photo of my Turkish Republic ID Card in the same way with my phone camera and uploaded it to the system. A few hours later, my account was suspended. I don’t know the exact reason, but under the heading “Why did we suspend your account?” it stated, “We do not allow people on Instagram to impersonate others or speak on behalf of someone else.” My account does not belong to someone else. I have not violated any of Instagram’s community guidelines. I have not posted or commented on anything that contains violence or racism toward a person or organization. I have not posted spam. It feels like they’ve singled me out with a pair of tweezers in the middle of the day, as if I’m being erased from the internet. When I try to log in to my Instagram account via Meta, I get the message “You don't have permission to do this” and can't submit a support request. I sent an email to but haven't received a response. I tried getting help from Meta AI, but it wasn’t very helpful. I considered getting a Meta Verified tag from another account to connect with live support, but I think there might be easier ways. I recently had heart surgery, and I was planning to watch Reels in bed during my recovery period, so having this happen is really frustrating. I hope my voice can be heard.
