Homeowner that's been in house for 6 years. System installed prior to us moving in. No issues in the previous years. House is 2 stories with dual heat pumps. 2nd story has dedicated pump w/ air handler located in attic.
Toward the end of the season last year the interruptor switch was activated. This was after the system wasn't used for several days and was turned on again when the weather warmed up. There is a condensation drain installed but the air handler is mounted sideways relative to the identical one located in the basement. I'm guessing (but not certain) the drain is not effective in this different orientation. I did cut the line so that I could make sure it wasn't clogged, it has been repaired.
I'm guessing the condensation was a cumulative issue that occurs over the season. There were stains in the safety pan that indicated that water has been in the pan for quite some time.
I'm considering relocating the drain line to the safety pan but I wanted to ask if there is something else that I should consider or repair.
