My step daughter lost her only key. She had a locksmith come by who was able to open the door and make her a key for that but wasn't able to successfully program an ignition key. I wasn't there and she was too flustered to ask him for more details. All I can find out is that he told her that the 'computer would need to be replaced and that it could cost as much as $1000 '. Obviously nobody in their early 20s can afford that expense out of the blue (and neither can my wife and I). So I'm hoping she just dealt with an inexperienced locksmith. Is the whole process really that difficult?
