Hello,

My (41M) baby mama (39F) and I have been in mediation for divorce for over a year and we have a 7 year old special needs son (Autism + Global Developmental Delay). We're separated for a year and half and have had finances unofficially separated for over a year.

Recently, baby mama, has stated that she'd like us to have language in the agreement regarding care for his special needs as an adult. We live in Massachusetts. Has anybody had any experience with this? What have y'all put in your separation agreements regarding this?

Further Context for those that are curious:

  • I pay child support (a little short of 200 a week)
  • I currently pay for baby mama's health insurance through my employer.
  • This is a deceptively high conflict co-parenting situation.
  • I theoretically have 50/50 custody but I end up with a little more since I've been in charge of school drop-off and pick-up.

I really appreciate any advice y'all can give me.
