I’m completely new to buying tools while awaiting to close on new house and watching all the vids.

i get it helps control the wood and keep against the fence, prevent wiggling, stuff like that.

But watching people’s hands go right over the blade and thinking of myself doing it scares me.

In the instance that something were to happen, god forbid you sneeze or have a cold shiver (even if it’s not cold), couldn’t it cause twisting and hand being thrown down since you’re applying pressure?

how much pressure is used when using it?

What about using featherboard and jessem stock guides and a push board instead?

Thanks for the help, I’m excited to start but definitely scared of the tools as someone that’s never used before, trying to replace video games with woodworking.

This is in the battery buy 1 get 1/2 deal. Would it be good enough to rotate tires on a car, SUV, 1500 truc and other repairs?

I see a lot of recs for 891 but if this is in the deal I’m considering it or I’ll have to select something else. thanks.

Starting to get into hobby woodworking. don’t intend to work outside of a dedicated garage area.

Is there a recommended list of which tools to stick with wired vs which is better cordless?

It seems a lot will be connected to a hose so wired may be the default but interested in the general opinion.

Also wired tools has the benefit of not being stuck within battery ecosystem.

I don’t intend to buy all the tools at once but good for later reference, thanks.

Currently using a broker who is giving us 6.1 for VA loan and 6.6 for Conventional.

issue is GF is not a spouse so now saying I can’t do a VA loan (which I had asked when we started the process and got a different answer)

I’ve seen posts here saying they are getting 6 or even lower conventional.

we have excellent credit. 20% down.

is it still 14 days to shop around to reduce affect of credit? What’s best way to find best rate?

I’m familiar with Milwaukee M12 and M18 Fuel series - trying to figure out what is the equivalent Dewalt series.

Also, for working on cars and woodworking (starting now) which tool series would you recommend?

thanks.

looking to get a weed whacker - Should I go for the multi head or versatility or the telescopic or standard ones? Not sure I would need the multi head options but maybe useful in the future but not sure if they operate better as separate tools.
