Did my best to recreate the movie poster. Had to substitute some of the 501st members in.

After the success of London Town in 1979, The Beatles took another short break before getting back to work in the fall of 1980. The sessions were a breeze and, for the most part, drama free. There was some while promoting the record, however.

In early December 1980, John was in NYC appearing on local radio shows. Afterwards, he and Yoko decided to go out to eat instead of returning to their part time home at the Dakota. It was later revealed that police had apprehended a man that was lingering in front of the building with a firearm. Luckily, nobody was hurt.

Somewhere In England was released in the spring of 1981.

As of now, Legends and Canon coexist peacefully in our house. I’m just hoping explaining the difference between the two gets easier over time. Today my 6 year old asked if the Clone Wars movie and show was Legends. The best I could offer him was a shrug and a “ehhh kinda, sorta, both? It’s complicated.” lol.

By late 1978, the members of the Beatles were off doing their own individual projects after almost three years since working together last. Paul was touring as a solo artist, with Ringo making frequent appearances, George was getting into film, and John was in house husband mode. They were all very content with not being “Beatles” for the first time in nearly 20 years.

That changed after John (who was splitting time between London and NYC with Yoko and Sean) attended one of Paul’s shows. He got the itch to record again and broached the subject at George’s wedding to Olivia Arias. The four agreed to enter the studio in January 1979. The resulting album, London Town, was released that summer.
