Wow, I just had a really bizarre reaction to the sound of polystyrene.
I've always hated the sound; it feels like someone is using their nails on a chalkboard to rip up my eardrums. Today, however, it turned visceral.
I had to remove a few larger sheets of polystyrene from some packaging and at first, as anticipated, the sound hurt like hell even though I was trying to be super careful.
But suddenly that gave way to pure nausea and dry-heaving – if my stomach hadn't been empty at the time, I would've had to make a mad dash to the loo 🤢
Also, a friend of a friend feels physically sick if the corners of the duvet don't fit properly into the corners of the duvet cover 🤯 I'm just glad mine was something I don't encounter often!
So...I was wondering who else has weird sensory reactions and what they are?
