Absolute cheapest way to get to Hartford CT from Vancouver BC and back

After doing plenty of research myself I have found that likely the cheapest way to go will be a flight to JFK airport in new york then a bus to CT. I was hoping to depart any time after June 2nd and arrive back the following week. Seems like the cheapest flights I can find are around $335 and buses are around $37 (all Canadian dollars)
I'm not super great at math though so if anyone can help that would be great! I've literally never travelled outside of BC before in my entire life so I have very little experience here. I love airplanes so much that I do not care about how good of an experience it is, I'll just be happy to be on an airplane at all, especially since after my journey is over i'll finally get to see my partner :)

I'm new to this particular hobby, I used a can of air duster to try and dust it off and that seemed to help a bit, but I'm not sure how to proceed next. Most of the keys in the number row don't work (other than 6, for some reason), keys often get stuck... I got this alongside a Touchmaster II which also likes to stick a lot. I need to clean off the corrosion and dust more thoroughly but idk how to disassemble this thing beyond removing the front plate and the ribbon covers. Haven't replaced the ribbon yet. tAny advice would be much appreciated! I have a big can of Zippo fluid, which according to Google is the best thing to use to clean it, but since the internet is full of AI junk I wanted to ask an actual person how to do it properly. What parts do I need to be extra careful with, how do i take parts off to make it easier to access the internals, and how do I properly clean it enough that it works reliably?

p.s. fun fact, this typewriter (as well as my touchmaster II that I mentioned) came from the newsroom of the Province, the second most circulated newspaper in my home province of BC!

Since Costco in Courtenay no longer seems to be an option... is there anywhere that has a large can available for cheaper than at Good's Grocer?
