Hi, guys, just gone through this. If you stuck in endless loop of having your ID verification gets rejected because the algorithm somehow kept on mistaking your ID image as altered, edited, inauthentic, you are not along because this happened to our store. We stuck in the loop for the past week. And finally got our store approved just now.

Based on the experience:

Don't' waste you time to chat to agent or open a ticket, there won't be any real helps. all suggestions/advice we received never worked. Each time we submitted a photo based on recommendation, it got rejected. At end of day, it felt that human had no say so in this process. The agent you spoke to is just guessing as you and I.
what got our store verification approved was our realization that the photo taken by iPhone by default is in the HEIC format but tiktok only accepts jpg & png. You also can't just convert HEIC to jpg as the algorithm considers that as 'doctored' image and rejectes it. You also don't need to include front and back image as suggested by one of representatives because, by combining front and back into one single jpg, that image will also be considered as 'edited' by algorithm.
what we did finally was to change iphone setting so the photo came out as jpg by default. The id image taken after this setting change was accepted and the shop was now approved.
