Hello!
I have a problem since I went from my old Galaxy S21 to the new S26 a few days ago. Verification codes, no matter from which website or app, just simply don't get through to my phone.
.i have tried everything I could find as a solution browsing the internet:
- turning my phone off/on
- removing the simcard, wiping it and putting it in the phone again
- turning off everything that could potentially block "spam" SMS
- checking my spam folder (nothing there except some messages sent months ago)
- checking blocked numbers (no numbers are blocked except for 5 that I blocked manually after receving many spam messages years ago. I googled each one of them and none are tied to any website/app/service I want to get verification codes from)
- Resetting the mobile Network
- cleaning the cashe of the google messages app
I have also already talked to my provider, telekom, about this via facebook.
They tried to call me but I never received any notification of a corporate call.
This is why I'm thinking that something somehow blocks anything that comes from some sort of corporate phone number.
I can call text and receive calls and texts from my contacts.
I have tried to use a different messaging app without success.
I put my sim card in my old phone and there everything works just fine! I receive all the verification codes immediatly.
Please, I really need help.
I can't use many apps because of this and also, if corporate numbers can't call me (which on the first sight sounds like a good thing) I also can't get calls back if I have an issue or if there's anything important.
I need to fix this issue and would really be very thankful for any help.
