Does this sound right?
I got my first trays yesterday and was a bit shocked to hear I have 65 trays in my treatment. I’ve never had any orthodontic work done before.
For reference, I went to an accredited orthodontist in my area. I have some crowding and flaring which I’m looking to fix. Is 65 trays normal? My ortho did mention wanting to take things slow. I’m wearing each tray for two weeks so I’ll be on this journey for the at least the next two years. I guess I didn’t really think my teeth were that “messed up” so I was a bit taken aback by how long this process would be. Pics were taken right before I received my first few trays.
I’m wondering if my ortho is playing it safe by moving so slow or if this is normal?
