The new Storm Shepherd change is actually decent

I’m working on defeating T10 Mephisto and was playing around with my werenado build. Decided to see what Storm shepherd could do, unique charm Dirge of Airidah, and was shocked to see crits in the 45bn range.

I still need Endurant Faith charm to survive (since I’m trying to git gud) tho so I am looking to get the Dirge of Airidah ring so I can use it alongside the Endurant faith charm I have.

I think there’s some fine tuning I need to do with my build in general, like more regen but all my pieces are already cubed unfortunately but I think the ring would be enough.

Has anyone else given the new version a go?

Key stats: 79% crit, 3600% crit dmg, 55% lucky hit

Can’t find the post: Wolfnado

So someone had shared a post about going wolfnado this season and instead of using the storm shepherd set, use the wolf set. And whoever you are, thank you.

I can actually push T12 im still trying to work the way this plays since sometimes I teleport into an aoe hahaha but honestly, this is the most damage I’ve been doing since sticking with Tornado. Though it’s not doing boulder numbers, I’m still seeing hits well over a billion.

Resource comes from starless skies and dirge of aridah unique charm and having ~50% lucky hit chance. Using the nado that strengthens and reaches 50% crit and hero of the storm lightning.

Edit: just cleared T12 pit easily by using a Endurant Faith charm. There are so many mobs for regen that I didn’t need the Aridah charm for it

Sorry that I cannot share multiple photos in the Post, but the main image is triggering the Lucion buff without the Shepherd Set. You can see the 3 Buffs there, Lucion's is the black and white(ish) diamond buff.

Edit: I thought this was interesting to point out because I was rocking Lucion’s helm thinking I was getting that damage buff but nope lol. I think the verbiage of the unique aspect and ancestral guidance are similar.

Lucion: Each time you use a Skill with a Resource Cost, gain [5 - 15]% or 18%[x] increased damage and Resource Cost is increased by 30%[+] for 4 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.

Ancestral Guidance: After spending 75 Spirit, you deal 30%[x] increased damage for 5 seconds.

Although shepherd’s set **removes the cost of storm skills** it is still counted as *spending* so it triggers Ancestral Guidance. But this *spend* doesn’t count towards Lucion.

I had no idea these existed (because I'm dumb when it comes to reading patch notes) but this is wild. I'm currently rocking the helm right now for extra DPS but now I really want a mythic talisman so I can actually fit these in!

Would you ideally use a non storm skill basic to max out the spirit-dmg buff? Or just say fuck it, I’m going to spam and stack Lucky hit Regen to keep it high? Trying to determine the synergies here and the 2-set is somewhat confusing to me.

So right now I’m using stormstrike/tornado using the explosive tornado skill. I found this type of tornado to be more consistent since it actually seeks out enemies (sad that the giant tornado skill doesn’t lol because it looks dope as hell). It’d be cool to use claw dash as a human tho but I think you have to pick between wolf and bear.

I’m using earthen bulwark, poison creeper, and cataclysm for my other skills. This is working well so far but I’m curious if I can push it even further. I’m only lvl58 and my legendary aspect luck has been abysmal but I’m curious about y’all’s thoughts on it? How to improve it while using tornado? I’d really prefer to stay human form for my build.

Why tornado? Because I just really like the look of casting a bunch of twisters tearing shit up :)
