Car troubles, not sure what to do.

I’ll try my best to be concise, but I’m not sure what to do. (USD)

I have a car at the moment that isn’t running that well. Vacuum Leak/major gas consumption/gear shifting issues, I changed the manifold among numerous other parts, maybe 3-4k low estimate with money I’ve spent.

While I’d like to get a new car (pre-financing left me with an option for a car for 25000, 27.99 APR), I’m not sure if it’s the best idea given my financial situation. I’ll be stuck paying for the old car, and it still has about $9000 left on the payments

Job: 3.6k monthly (pot. contract work would leave me with 8k/mo low estimate)

Rent: 1700 Car: 600 Insurance: 250 Phone service: 150 (optional; can be covered) Student Loans: 219 (minimum; looking to put more into it, maybe 400-500/mo.)

Credit Score: 571

The payments for the car would be 781/mo for 72 months. I’m in the works for trying to bring in extra income, but don’t want to use that as a basis for my decision to do this. It’s like I’m chasing problems with the vehicle and I typically drive a long distance to get to my job. I feel like I’m leaning towards getting the new car, but it’s mainly because I’m tired of this car and its problems.
