Apparently Myles is currently sick & trying to conserve his voice ☹️
According to a random FB post I stumbled across, it looks like poor Myles is sick and didn't sing as much at the last concert:
So I've been in the research field for well over a decade, stuck in a position that I am finding is not allowing me to advance my skills. I'm getting to the point where I am bored, disillusioned and starting to question if I really want to continue down this career path. I'm tempted to just quit my job and become an artist, something that has always been a passion and hobby of mine, but I never pursued it as a career because it is financially unstable (I have a cousin who is an artist and it's a struggle...they don't call them "struggling artist" for nothing).
I'm wondering if anyone has ever thrown caution to the wind and just quit their career to pursue their passion full time?
Copied from the article:
Finally at 9:15 it was time for ALTER BRIDGE. It’s hard to fathom that they’ve been a group for over 20 years now, rising from the ashes of the CREED implosion of the early 2000s with frontman Myles Kennedy joining guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. The band has released 8 full length studio albums during that time span including the aforementioned self-titled opus that dropped earlier this year
If you’ve never caught the band in a live setting, they’re known for a high energy affair and tonight’s appearance was certainly no exception. They wasted no time putting the pedal down as they stated the evening with “Silent Divide”, one of three tracks they would include from that release including “Playing Aces” and “Tested And Able”. The rest of the set was a solid mixture of songs from across their catalog, with inclusions from 5 of their 8 records, including the tour debut of “Come To Life” from their 2007 sophomore album, ‘Blackbird’.
The band was energetic and engaging throughout the night, with Kennedy apologizing for his potty mouth during one of the between song’s dialogue with the crowd. The ALTER BRIDGE guys were all smiles throughout and Tremonti, who is not only a master of his axe craft, showed off his vocal chops as well on “Burn It Down”. The crowd knew their material inside and out and would have gladly sung the entire set without Kennedy uttering a word as evidenced by the multiple instances of crowd participation sprinkled throughout the evening. Visually, the lighting and giant LED screen draped behind them added another layer of greatness to what was already a perfect night. A quick check of prior setlists reveals that the band are tossing things up a bit too, with some songs being played on different nights and even the order changing on occasion so you never know what you’ll get.
As the band finished up the main portion of their time with “Rise Today” and “Metalingus”, it was clear that the Bayou Music Center was not ready to let them go that easily, clamoring for their heroes to return. Obviously they did, capping off a memorable night with a two-track encore, “Blackbird” and “Isolation”.
The What Lies With Tour continues through the U.S. until May 24th in Tampa so check ’em out if they come near you!

I was recently prescribed Naproxen to help control the pain/inflammation caused by suspected Adenomyosis. It was helpful for about a week, and now it feels like it's doing absolutely nothing.
Has anyone else found Naproxen unhelpful?
I have been struggling with suspected Adeno and/or Endo pain for the last several months. This, on top of my existing PMDD has made my life unbearable, to the point where I'm debating quitting my job and staying in bed all day.
I'm miserable. I have no social life or anything positive to look forward to. I'm on a 6 month waiting list to see a specialist, and the pain meds I have been prescribed during the mean time are useless.
I feel so helpless at this point and don't know what to do.
So I got the results of my ultrasound I had two weeks ago and everything looks normal, but I'm still having pain. My previous ultrasound 6 months ago showed a boggy uterus and a cyst on my right ovary, which is now absent. I've got a referral to an Endometriosis clinic, but I'll probably have to wait another 6 months to actually be seen.
So I went to the ER yesterday because my newly diagnosed Adeno was causing severe pain and I couldn't get in to see my doctor. After a 5 hour wait (with blood tests) and talking to the ER doctor for 5 minutes, he basically asks "what do you want me to do?". Like, what do you mean?!? I want the pain to stop, I want someone to give me answers! He ended up prescribing Naproxen for a week and told me to see my regular doctor again.
I'm done with going to the ER for any adeno related issue. Unless they have Gynecologists on call, it is utterly pointless.
