Need help with my meta ads performance

Hi,

I run a Shopify store in South Africa selling pre-owned iPhones and I’m trying to figure out what’s going wrong with my ads.

I’ve been running Meta ads for about 75 days now and spent around R10,000 (~$500). My monthly budget is roughly R5,000.

The phones I sell are between R5,000 and R13,000.

For most of the time I’ve just been using one sales campaign. I do switch ads on and off sometimes because I run out of stock.

I’m using Advantage+ for targeting.

For creatives, I use carousel ads — each picture is a different phone with the price, and a few pictures per carousel. The creatives are solid and on par with the bigger companies in my space.

Results so far:

  • 3 sales total
  • Around 800 add to carts
  • Around 1500 content views
  • Around 250 add payment info
  • ~4.93% CTR

I also get around 10 messages a day through my site from people asking about the phones, but most of them just disappear after showing interest.

That’s the main issue — people clearly have interest, but they don’t follow through and actually buy.

Other info:

  • My prices are competitive vs others in my niche
  • The website has a lot of trust signals
  • I offer a 6 month warranty
  • 30+ reviews with a 4.8 Google rating
  • Google reviews are shown on the homepage
  • I offer BNPL options as well

From my side it feels like everything looks right, but conversions just aren’t happening.

If anyone has been in a similar situation or has ideas on what I should be looking at or testing, I’d appreciate it.
