I really took my time scouring this sub for answers to avoid submitting another "did I get in?" post but I couldn't find anything similar to my situation yet:
- Mid April I took the starter assessment for bilingual and was left off with the 'thanks for taking the starter assessment' page.
- May 1st I received two almost identical mails from the "@mail.dataannotation.tech" address, offering an 'Evaluate 4 AI Responses Based on Overall Quality' project with rather suspect wording: 'Another language expertise eval - at priority pay?! That's right; thanks for your help getting these projects wrapped up!'.
- After noticing them, I logged into my account where the dashboard now showed 1 survey, 6 quals and 2 projects with one of them being hourly paid and the other being the 'Welcome! (Click here to get started on the platform)' one. The projects mentioned in the emails did not appear in the dashboard but that could be because I only saw the mails 4 days after they were sent.
- So far, I have submitted all the qualifications within my range of skills, two of them paying 5$ each and worked on the hourly paid project I mentioned, for which I reported my hours immediatly. The only qual I didn't take yet is an 'English Assessment' that I don't want to waste time on before understanding my current situation.
The thing that confuses me the most is that I never had the opportunity to take the core test nor did I have to submit any personal verification/ identification others mentioned in this sub.
Is it normal to have a dashboard similar to what I've just described even if you were not accepted? Why would I be able to submit work without being accepted? Did anyone experience something similar? I would really appreciate your help!
