Hello friends (chai pii lo) the previous line was uncalled for and unnecessary but the insta-reel addict in me couldnt help it.
I am from Pakistan and am working on a book exploring the comedy culture of Pakistan and India, how one inspired the other and what the future looks like (kisi nay mera idea chori nahi krna guys, pehlay bata rahi hn. I'll cry floods). For this I need to speak with Indian comedians. The OGs like Rohan Joshi, Varun Grover, Tanmay Bhatt (and/or Vir Das if I hit the jackpot to be fair) and the newer comics (Abhishek Upmanyu and you guys name them). Ive DMed a few but didnt get any response. My messages could've been either lost in the maze or didnt reach them entirely.
I would really appreciate the help of the indian community here to help a sister out by connecting me with these comedians and/or pour your suggestions on how the comedy scene in India is like.
I know I can rely on you for this kind request and would be in touch with you over the course of this research.
