Preparing for my visa appointment (US resident for a French visa), I realized that my French marriage certificate likely isn’t « recent » enough (it was issued 4 years ago (this is absolutely my fault for not realizing this earlier). Requested an updated certificate in the hopes of a quick turn-around, but it hasn’t and likely won’t arrive in time for my appointment tomorrow.

TLS representative tells me it is too late to cancel the appointment, and so my options are either to « no-show » or to attend without the needed recent marriage certificate, and hope that they’ll allow me to supply the new certificate once it arrives. Any advice on the pro’s and con’s of either option?
