Hey all, I am hoping for a piece of advice with the issue I have.
I live in an apartment with a rather cheap-ish cork floors, installed around 2018-2019.
Over the course of years the floors got some natural wear and tear but the most severe is where my office chair is. I would like to restore / repair / refinish the affected areas and would greatly appreciate the advice here.
What I gather is there are two types of damage: the most severe one is under the wheels of the said chair, goes in a circular pattern and looks like a 1-mm flakes of the top layer have been torn off over the years of sitting and rolling on top of them. I don't know if any way of refinishing this is viable due to the depth and surface area of each scratch here.
The second type of damage are longer scratches caused by the damage when moving fridge and other appliances: they are not as deep and look generally better. I would assume those can be resealed, but still, am uncertain on where to start.
Once again, any help and advice will be appreciated.
Thank you!
