Good GYN for reoccurring UTI/yeast infections?

I’ve been seeing Planned Parenthood and they’ve been great but I’m not seeing progress and I have stopped tolerating the typical medications so I’m looking second opinions.

Any recommendations welcome, even up to an hour away.

This purely to post about my own personal experiences. I am not a doctor and diflucan works great for many people without major side effects. I've been dealing with repeated UTIs and yeast infections so I've been through several multiple day rounds of diflucan over several months.

The first two times I took diflucan for an extended period of days I believe I had a "die off" reaction. Felt great the first day terrible the second like getting sick again and then started the true recovery.

After that I started to notice I only felt better once the medication was wearing off, right before I needed take my next dose. I could feel when the medication started "working" because of how frankly crappy I started feeling.

A round or two later I even started having weird >0.1% side effects like pelvic cramping and intense low back pain. Then shortness of breath and chest tightness that got progressively worse every time I took the medication. Unfortunately, due to other illness/medication I didn't put everything together until today.

Things greatly improved with antihistamines but yeah, that sucked.

Point of this is if you suspect diflucan causing you to feel really shitty in general beyond just a few days, pelvic pain, back pain, shortness of breath, or chest pain/tightness. It might be.

Trust your gut, tell your doc you want a different med.
