I'm currently on a Tado V3+ setup (Hot Water cylinder + 2 heating zones). We are having plumbing work done (new cylinder/pipework) and adding a 3rd zone via a new 2-port valve. S-Plan setup.

I’ve learned that Tado V3+ can’t natively handle a 3rd relay for a 3rd zone without moving to Tado X and buying multiple receivers, which I'd rather avoid.

My Requirements:

  1. Setup: Must support 3 independent heating zones (3x 2-port valves) + 1 Hot Water zone.
  2. Local Control: Must work without internet (LAN/Zigbee/RF). No cloud-only dependencies.
  3. Home Assistant: Must have a solid integration.
  4. No Smart TRVs: I don’t need individual room control, just zone-level control.
  5. Reliability: Needs to be "partner-friendly" (physical overrides/wall stats).

I’m looking at Honeywell Evohome or Drayton Wiser, but I’m struggling to see which specific kits I need for a 3-zone + HW setup.

  • Is the Drayton Wiser HubR 3-channel the right path? Does it allow for a 4th channel/external relay for the 3rd zone?
  • For Honeywell, do I need the full Evohome controller, or is there a simpler multi-zone relay setup?
  • Any other ecosystems I should consider that aren't Tado?

I’m looking to integrate IPv6 into my existing self-hosted Docker environment and could use some "best practice" guidance. I currently have a working IPv4 setup with a static IP and Traefik as a reverse proxy.

My Environment:

  • Router/FW: OPNsense receiving a /56 prefix from my ISP via DHCPv6-PD.
  • Reverse Proxy: Traefik (running in a standard Docker bridge network).
  • Host Mode: Home Assistant (needs to stay on host for discovery).
  • Macvlan: One specific container requires a direct IP on the home subnet.
  • OS: Linux (Ubuntu/Debian) running Docker Engine.

The Goal: I want my containers to be accessible via IPv6 through Traefik, but I'm confused about the "recommended" way to handle the internal Docker networking.

Specifically:

  1. Since I have a /56, should I delegate a dedicated /64 to the Docker host? If so, how does OPNsense know to route that /64 to the Docker VM/Host's internal bridge?
  2. For Traefik, do I need to assign it a Global Unicast Address (GUA), or can it continue using ULA (Unique Local) internally?
  3. For the Macvlan container, will it automatically pick up a SLAAC/DHCPv6 address from the LAN if I configure the parent interface correctly?
  4. The NAT64/NAT66 Confusion: I’ve seen conflicting info on whether I should enable experimental: true and ip6tables: true in daemon.json. Is NAT66 still the "default" way, or is there a cleaner "Routed" approach without NAT?

I’ve tried various AI bots, but they often suggest NAT-based hacks. Is there a "standard" 2026 way to do this with OPNsense prefix delegation?

(This text ran through AI to help provide my spaghetti question with more clarity).

I tried the support in the Tado app but have had no luck getting any reply. So thought the Reddit hive mind may be more responsive.

I have a V3+ with HW and two zones controlled by a wired and a wireless temp sensors. We have a third circuit and the plumber will add a new valve here. Do I just need a new wireless temp sensor for this valve or is there some other parts I need to buy? Plumber is not a Tado installer .
