Building the Battery Bank

Yeah I know these are not server rack batteries but I have been buying them when in sale for the last year or more. I have 7 and want to get at least 10 for the house battery bank. Pretty good bang for your buck when it comes to energy storage.

XGT Is Worth The Upgrade If…..

Upgraded my Makita tools to the XGT line when they released and absolutely have no regrets but here in America I can only justify the upgrade because I make money with my tools and managing four batteries per 36v tool at a minimum gets a bit old. If I was a DIY guy or a handyman who isn’t on the tools everyday, I’d stick with the 36v line. The XGT tools are more powerful and I do notice, but it all about getting a return on investment with tools. XGT tools don’t go on sale here in the states nearly as much as Milwaukee or Dewalt.

Still, love the fact I have carpentry tools that are top of the line for accuracy and reliability. My 12” miter is a heavy bitch but it’s smooth as butter and live the shadow line. The 8.5” miter gets used the most though.
