I just got back into OLD.

I generally split the bill when I go on a date.

I went on date 3 with a guy. The previous 2 dates involved dinner where we ordered similar types of dishes and splitting the bill made sense.

Tonight we shared an appetizer and he decided to order a half dozen raw oysters which I dont eat. He then ordered a filet mignon and some wine. I ordered a simpler chicken entree.

The bill was extravagant, and I still let the server take our cards to split down the middle.

Im not angry as I allowed it, but it was just disappointing.

With all the discussions on ladies and who pays what...I usually feel more comfortable paying half.

Tonight I learned just keep the checks separate.
