FCC claim fixes my billing issue

First off I wanna throw a thank you and shout out to Mr. C from the OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT for ATT.

I had just returned from a 10 day trip to Japan, I had IDP on, I kept the text messages confirming IDP was enabled with the time stamps to be safe. A week later when I received my bill it showed 1000 dollar roaming charges. Immediately contacted att support to fix it, after what seemed like hours of back and forth with the agent, the agent’s supervisor, they kept denying my claim even though I had kept the time stamps and reviewed the bill time stamps with them… their excuse was “the system glitches like that some times, the charge is valid” obviously I was livid.

Fast forward, that same night I found this sub suggesting an FCC complaint, I made sure to fill out the required fields, submitted my texts with time stamp and my bill showing the time stamps for the incorrect charges.

About 4 days later and a short 5 minute phone call with Mr. C and he apologized for the way the customer agents acted, lack of their empathy for a customer of over 20 years, and he reversed the charges immediately and ask that if I ever have any other issues to go to him directly.

Thankful it got fixed and to Mr. C being an actual person and not some script reading robot
