Maybe a dumb question.
My RES is about 1 year old and his (or her, not sure yet) shell has reached the 2” in length mark. They currently live in a 20 gallon tank.
I know soon I’ll have to upgrade and when I do I’m tempted to just rip the bandaid off and buy a huge like 150 gallon tank with canister filter, quality basking area, etc.
But just wondering is there any harm in putting say a 2.5” slider in a 100+ gallon tank? I picture them in the “wild” in a pond or something and figure the answer is obviously there’s no issue, the bigger the better, but just want to ask!
