Chandler Rogers gets blown up
I toted my DSLR camera up into the beer snake stand for the game last Saturday, and happened to be lined up and shooting when Louisville's QB got lit up. Crowd popped like there were 50,000 there.

Well...it feels a little weird making this annual post here, considering that we aren't an official part of Birdland anymore (lost our affiliation) but I'll give it a shot, since there could be new opportunities for content.
I control all of the audio/sound/organ etc for the Aberdeen IronBirds (@IronBirdsDJ), and our season kicks off in about a month, Friday June the 5th. We're now in the MLB Draft League, which consists of six teams, mostly leftover clubs from the old NY-Penn League of days gone by. The first half of the season is for college-level players looking to up their draft stock, and for the second half, after the draft, the roster is filled out by undrafted players as an independent league type of situation.
So what can I do differently now that we're out of the system and doing this college age stuff? Anyone have any ideas for things to play or bits to do that we wouldn't have done in affiliated ball? There's obviously a whole lot in the soundboard now that has to go in the trash, but I'm thinking about how I can boost up the players we get coming through with a new set of sounds. Should we introduce them by what school they came from? Play their college fight song, if it was a major university? This could go for graphics as well, I can make some suggestions to that department.
(I'm also apparently going to be doing some games as the PA announcer as well, so I've got creative control there too.)
