I'm a dual citizen and going to travel to Korea soon. My United account is in my American name (e.g. John Doe) but I must use my Korean passport, which has a completely different first name (e.g. Gildong) when entering the country. To be clear the rest of the information like my DOB, last name is the same.
In the Travel Readiness Center it looks like I can upload a new passport but only if the name matches exactly to the ticket. Without doing this it appears I can't check in for my flight online. I'd like to be able to check in for my flight 24 hours before departure, and possibly even add this second passport to my United account for future flights.
Has anyone else had this issue and gotten it resolved?
