Had a Dell AW3821DW and thought to myself, I could still use more screen real estate for my overall productivity workflow. I switch back and forth all day between my PC for personal use and a M4 Macbook for work. This led me to researching and upgrading from the 3840x1600 Dell to the 5120x2160 Lenovo. Immediately, I can see the benefit of the new monitor on my Windows PC, even at 125% scaling. However, this morning I used it with my Macbook for the first time and what a mess it is trying to deal with the scaling: either it's the full screen resolution but much of the UI elements are too small and can't be scaled up at all, or I'm scaling up everything universally to the "in-between" setting and it's less resolution than I had with the 1440p monitor. The screen mirroring is also now problematic: forget trying to read anything on the Macbook's screen when I'm using the monitor for the PC input. And, just for kicks, I'm maxed out at 30hz refresh rate, which is evidently an HDMI cable restriction?

I'm going to have to try to sort some of this out on my own but it was not such an ecouraging experience on the first try, that's for sure. I was probably less productive trying to fuss with everything than if I had just stuck with the 1440p monitor. Any obvious tips from those here more experienced with Mac's and ultrawides that could help a brother out? Feedback much appreciated and thank you!

Have always just kept it simple with a modest but solid rotation of cash back credit cards (Amex BCP for groceries, a few others for rotating/specific retail categories and Citi Double Cash as a catch all). However , recently started going down the YouTube rabbit hole about credit card strategies and it might have opened my eyes a bit about how using points for travel is optimal, if done right.

Most importantly, I would really only be motivated to switch from cash back cards if there was a solid strategy to redeem points for booking flights on both Starlux and Japan Airlines as we love to travel from the US to Asia from time to time. It seems like the primary viable option for those transfer partners would either be a Bilt or Atmos card. Have watched some videos on the Bilt Paladium for this and have mixed thoughts.

Also, this potentially being my first experience with trying to transfer credit card points into airline miles, I don't know what I don't know. For example, how much of a hassle is it to try to go about this all when it's time to redeem points vs simply booking a ticket normally on the airline's website? Anything we might miss out on seatwise vs a normal booking? Is there really enough potential meaningful value add here to justify switching from my cash back setup? Etc., etc.

Any advice from those with experience using credit cards to book these specific airlines (or just airlines, in general) would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Just got a Keylab 88 mk3 in today, hooked it up to the PC and got Ableton Live to recognize it. In DAW control mode, I can switch between my MIDI tracks without issue using the main encoder, adjust the track volume with the faders and hit the arm button. However, when I switch to a different track using the main encoder, the previous track loses its arm and I can only hear the new track. I just want to play multiple tracks with the keyboard at the same time. What basic/fundamental concept am I missing here? Cannot figure it our nor find a straightforward answer on the internet. I'm sure that I'm just being daft but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dumb question (I know) but I've been more or less completely out of the loop with Spitfire for the past couple of years and just curious what the buzz has been about their most interesting releases in recent history?

I know this is very subjective/personal... just curious if y'all think any standout above the rest?

Blessed to already own Live 12 Suite and Push 3 standalone, so compatibility with Push 3SA is preferred. Thanks!

Owner of both Live 12 Suite and a Push 3. The reality of my shared home office/studio though means that all of my controllers and synths are along the side wall of the room, so I too often have to wheel my chair back and forth between them and the PC to make meaningful adjustments to plugins/change presets/etc. while playing. Trying to brainstorm a solution to help with this without disrupting flow state as much.

In an ideal world, I could place a tablet or smallish touch screen monitor right next to my instruments and focus it on the open/highlighted plugin window to both more easily see the UI and perhaps quickly make adjustments by hand. Anyone currently employing a similar strategy? Would love tips and/or feedback! Am I overlooking anything my current hardware is already capable of? Plugins being used include a variety of Native Instruments, Spitfire, Arturia, Synapse, etc. Primary midi controller is an Arturia Keylab 88 mk3.

In the market for a new 88-key master controller and the S88 mk3 has the most appealing feature set to me overall. However, how concerned should I be about the pending bankruptcy and what that might mean for my ownership of the product if I purchased brand new today from a retailer like Sweetwater? Worst case scenario, am I just gambling that I don't need technical support on the unit down the line but can still have peace of mind that the software integration will remain functional regardless of how the bankruptcy plays out? Or, are there bigger issues to consider? Sorry, if this is a dumb question... just trying to factor in murky possibilities.

The Arturia Keylab 88 mk3 is the other contender. Ableton Live is my DAW and I use a variety of different VST instruments from Native Instruments, Spitfire, Arturia, etc., etc.

Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Also, anyone have long term issues with their keybed on the mk3?

Bought the Astrolab 37 within the past week but enjoying the sounds and form factor so much that I'm actually considering returning it and upgrading to the 88. Anyone here actually own one? If so, care to share your experience with it, pros/cons, etc? Would love to hear feedback on the feel of the keybed especially. Would probably put a Launch Control on top of it in the open space on the right side to add extra knobs for tweaking parameters, if at all possible.
