How imperative is it to use OEM parts?
2015 Chevy sonic 1.8l sedan. I had p0016 and p0011 codes on my sonic that eventually prevented my car from starting. I put in a cheap vvt intake solenoid off of amazon. After that my cars was able to start but the p0011 came back, car runs seemingly normal now. Could the p0011 code be coming back because I the car needs an OEM part? Is that a problem that Chevy sonics/ Ecotec engines have when servicing without OEM parts?
