Anything simmilar to theWhen David Heard tag?

Only a single minute of music and it left such an emotional impact on me.

What I'm looking for doesn't necessarily have to be choral or acapella music, but the tight sung chords is what makes this work for me. Ethereal but packs a punch.

Before anyone asks, yes, I've listened to the original by Eric Whitacre and I love it, but it's a little too lyrical or low energy for me I think.

Dean Lamb's Every Black Minute

So I've recently watched Dean Lamb's video on his old band and I honestly kinda fell in love.

I'd like to hear more music like this, perhaps a bit more polished songwriting-wise.

Tough to describe what I like about this, it's melodic but not in the traditional melodeath sense. It's a little progressive at times, but not outright techy and it had a real nice drive to it. I also love the Mastodon influenced riffing.

The only other band that sort of reminds me of this style is Sulphur Aeon, also balancing on the verge of multiple different genres.
