Job Title: Cofounder, Head of Infrastructure(MLOps/Cloud/Backend)

About us
We are an early-stage startup building vision foundation models. The founding team currently includes a technical cofounder with a background in AI research, training and deployment of deep learning models, and a second cofounder leading business development, go-to-market, and operations. We are looking for a third cofounder to lead infrastructure and MLOps engineering.

The role
As a cofounder and head of infrastructure, you will be responsible for the systems that allow us to train, deploy, and serve large vision models efficiently and reliably. You will work directly with the technical founder on the path from research code to production, and you will have full ownership of the engineering and infrastructure stack. This is a foundational hire, and you will help shape the technical direction, hiring, and culture of the company.

Responsibilities
Design and operate large-scale training infrastructure, including multi-node GPU clusters, distributed training, checkpointing, and fault recovery.
Build and maintain inference and model serving systems with strong cost, throughput, and latency characteristics.
Architect cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or equivalent, including networking, storage, security, and cost management.
Build the backend services and APIs that expose our models to internal teams and external customers.
Develop data pipelines for collection, preprocessing, labeling, and versioning of large image and video datasets.
Establish CI/CD, monitoring, and observability practices for both research workflows and production systems.
Collaborate on hiring and lead the infra and backend engineering function as the team grows.
