Hello, having some issues with the new Superblast 3, and I think it might be sizing related?

I am 5'8" tall, 145 pounds, and my current Half Marathon PB is 1:20:55, 10k PB is 37 minutes. Planning on doing my first marathon either in October or just wait until next year, and aiming for sub-3 hours. Shoe size is US mens Size 8 in almost every brand.

I have had the Superblast 2's for quite some time, they are by no means my favourite, but they are dependable, they're comfortable, last forever, and aren't too fussy. They definitely are a bit brick like and for anything faster than my easy pace (4:45/km) I switch to the Megablasts or Adios Pro 4's. So I've basically just been using them as an easy day shoe, or for long runs where I am going at a slower pace.

My biggest complaint with the 2's were that they were a bit brick like, kind of clunky when landing and I thought they were just a tad bit firm for a shoe I like to just eat up miles at easy paces in, however I didn't really have a big problem with them at all, they were still very dependable. So when the 3's came out and everyone said they were softer, I was instantly sold on they solved my main issue with them, and bought them right away.

However, after a couple of runs (mostly easy pace, did some strides and a few marathon pace km's), I really am not getting along with them. They feel quite boat like, and at easy paces I really feel I am having to work hard just to maintain my easy pace. My HR reflects this too, it seems to be 5bpm higher at easy paces than other shoes I run in. At faster paces I actually don't mind the shoe too much, but thats really not why I purchased it. I wanted a high stack, somewhat soft and stable easy day shoe to spend a lot of time in, and maybe provide a bit of pop when my legs are tired.

When I am running with the Superblast 3's, it almost feels like the platform is just long, and my feet feel kind of awkward. When I am toeing off, it feels the shoe interferes with my stride rather than helping it, and just feel quite sloppy. I think the 3 is slightly bigger than the 2 and other shoes in my size, and I think my foot is sitting in it at an awkward spot, which is making it feel odd. I also have to tie them quite tight, with a runners knot or else they feel really sloppy.

Attached are some photos, I almost always wear a US Size 8. Should I have gotten a 7.5?
