Momentum 4: Mic Functionality with Full Clarity on PC
I don’t know who needs this but, I recently found out that Momentum 4 are ass for gaming because as soon as you connect them with Windows via PC bluetooth or BT600 module or even USBC the quality drops drastically to “headphone communications” mode which inturn reduces quality. This is because bluetooth cannot carry enough bandwidth to have clear audio output alongside mic input, and because of weird implementation of USBC on Momentum 4 the same thing happens over wired USB connection to PC too. This hinders your quality of life, gaming experience and even your virtual meetings.
In order to circumvent this, I decided to give this a go, make sure your Momentum 4 headphones are turned on and connect the following 2.5 to 3.5mm wire with mic and splitter (in case of PC) and no splitter is required if your mic and speaker input are the same (in case of most laptops). Just ensure that you have selected the right mic and headphones in Windows sound settings.

I am happy to report that I get full audio quality with my mic input enabled.
