TikTok Study Researchers Refusing Compensation Via Bonus Payment

Did anyone else take part in the TikTok study where there were 2 rounds of submitting screen recordings of your For You page? The researchers are total scam artists and are claiming that they didn't receive one of the screen recordings that I uploaded. I still have all the screen recording files and documented submissions saved to my computer. I even offered politely to upload the exact same file again, but no dice which only makes me even more suspicious that they are doing this on purpose to avoid compensating people.

The primary method of compensation was $7.20 in bonus payment, which it looks like they are not going to pay me. Do I have any recourse with Prolific support?

Also, I was worried about this exact scenario, so I messaged the researchers after each submission I made, and they said "Great, thank you!" after the submission I made that they are claiming they never received. I feel like that should count for something, on top of the other evidence I have of the timestamped screen recording file + timestamped confirmation of submission.

If Prolific support isn't an option, what other recourse do I have? The researcher is based in Hong Kong. Is there a research board over there that I can contact?

TL;DR: After taking levothyroxine, how long do you all wait before taking ALL supplements? Specifically, is it a problem to take L-theanine 1 hour after levothyroxine?

I've been trying to research this (Reddit and elsewhere), but there's a lot of conflicting information. There seems to be near-certain consensus about waiting 4+ hours after levothyroxine before taking an iron or calcium supplement. Then there's solid consensus about waiting 4+ hours before taking vitamin D3 and magnesium. Then for most other supplements: ????

My current schedule:

Morning:

  • Wake up and take levothyroxine
  • 1 hour later: antidepressant, caffeine pill, L-theanine pill

After lunch:

  • 2 Brazil nuts (selenium)
  • B-complex
  • Omega 3
  • Zinc
  • Vitamin D3 + K2 (MK-7)
  • Creatine

Before bed:

  • Magnesium glycinate

As you can see, I am waiting 4+ hours before almost every supplement I take. The antidepressant and caffeine are non-negotiable lol. It's hard enough waiting an hour in the morning before taking those. What I'm really wondering about is the L-theanine. Rationally, I know it's probably not a big deal, especially when I'm doing the same thing every day consistently. Am I just being paranoid about over-optimizing? I could move L-theanine later in the day or night to help with sleep, but I like having it with caffeine to balance out the jitters.

So is it safe to keep taking L-theanine just 1 hour after levothyroxine, or should I be waiting 4+ hours like I do for just about everything else?
