LG Stanbyme Model 1 Touch Screen Disabled
I bought an LG Stanbyme Model 1 yesterday.
When I bought it and tested it, the touchscreen and all other functions were functional.
Problem:
- when I factory resetted the device, the touchscreen function turned off, preventing me from moving on to the set up screen
- I did not register the device to LG ThinQ app
- I do not have a remote for it
Troubleshooting Already Tried:
- using a wireless mouse with its own USB Bluetooth receiver
- unplugging the device until battery runs out, then plugging it back in to power
- hard resetting the device using the pinhole on the back
- attempting to connect using the NFC tag on the Stanbyme
- using the volume buttons as means of navigation like some LG TVs do
One possible lead(?):
- connecting a mouse to it, no cursor appeared but the click function of the mouse worked for a brief moment
- I could select the option on screen that was already selected, as in click to confirm my choice for one of the set up procedure, but can’t get further after that
Customer service said they don’t know much about it per usual. If someone knows any way in which I can troubleshoot this, even if it’s a wild guess, it will be deeply appreciated.
