I know little about the NPB as an MLB/Giants fan but watched a Yomiuri Giants game and the aesthetics are highly similar so I wanted to become a fan. However, I researched and found out they're basically the equivalent of the Evil Empire Yankees, whom I despise.

Should I still root for them due to the aesthetic connection with the SF Giants? If not, suggestions as to how to choose a team to root for?
