musescore 3 dark theme

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find this anywhere, please do do show me in the right direction if I've missed something.

I used to use musescore 3 for ages and it had everything I needed - almost. The more recent versions seem like dumbed down disasters and they are very dissonant with my workflow. Call me stubborn but I'm going to stick to musescore 3. Only problem is, I need a good dark mode for in musescore 3 and I just can't find anything that turns not just the menus, but the score too, into a nice soft dark theme. Before I spend hours trying to manually update the configuration files with hexcodes, I thought I'd ask if anyone knows of an easier solution.

And please don't tell me to update to a newer version with score invert functionality. I would rather read through the code and make my own custom version than learn an entirely new workflow.

Hi, reconsidering Ubuntu given my requirements. Any thoughts?

Hi all,

I grew up on Windows, got fed up with it, and switched to Ubuntu since that seemed the most logical choice. I liked it, but I ran into some problems and think it would be good to get some other opinions.

I don't mind doing a bit of techy stuff, but I'm not interested in using the terminal just for the sake of saying I'm an Arch user. I will mainly use an audio production program called REAPER, a browser, and Krita. What's important to me is very low audio latency and general stability. I don't need the most up-to-date software; I want something that I set up once and then it just works with minimal maintenance—even if the initial setup is a bit of a faff.

I liked Ubuntu—especially the Ubuntu Studio version—but I've never tried anything else. Before installing the "same old, same old" on my new computer (I haven't touched a desktop all year), I thought I'd ask for some opinions.

Would you recommend staying with Ubuntu Studio, or are there better options given my needs?
