Me (43f) and bf (58m) had our foyr year anniversary a few weeks ago. Neither of us are keen on marriage again (both divorced) so they won't ever likely be a wedding anniversary. I move my entire life 3590 miles for him after 1+ yr long distance because he was working on his Masters and his job requires the ocean. I don't regret the move, my kids and I have a better life where we are.
My question is it un/realistic to expect a partner to renew an anniversary at all even if work/life etc is crazy? I'm only asking like maybe a text message during the day "happy anniversary" like literally anything like that. But to completely forget? And then the biggest frustrateing part is that they remember the detail of their own personal mini trip and the anniversary was never re visited in any way, look maybe a dinner?, card or and things relevant or thoughtful.
I'm at a loss, not sure what lli did with.
