Hi there,
I’ve been wondering if I should post this or not, as I expect the answer to probably just be my room. However, I’m really interested in hearing what you guys are experiencing with the room compensation and how it affects the sound of your setup.
So for me I find the results odd and quite annoying. When I run room compensation the mids and highs are greatly improved and so is the imaging and Dolby Atmos, but the lower range frequencies are vastly impaired. The bass sounds really odd in that it’s there, but it’s very limited. And when I boost the bass to compensate, it sounds weird, like it can’t go that deep anymore, although if I turn off room compensation the bass extends way deeper.
So I’m stuck in this situation where I have to prioritise between the two and none of them are really satisfying, because I can hear what I’m missing when choosing between them.
I’d like to add that the bar does sound well, but I’m a little annoyed that I can’t have the best of both worlds, so to speak. Also considering all of my other b&o speakers are greatly improved by the room compensation feature.
Looking forward to hearing your experiences.
Add: I’ve setup my premiere with a pair of emerge as front L & R.
