This is just a rant.

A few years ago, I deleted my FB account after seeing ads for a sensitive issue I had researched on a different website.

Yesterday, I opened a new account with my phone number (noob mistake), and my first friend recommendation is someone that I blocked on my phone and purged from my life. There's a reason why I don't speak to them anymore. I spent years in therapy after what they did to me.

It's like FB's networking algorithm is designed to be as invasive as possible.

Sure, it's probably my fault for consenting to this POS data harvesting, but in my experience this problem is unique to FB. It's not something I've encountered on another platform, regardless of my sign up method.

I deleted the account promptly. I get it. I'm an idiot. Lesson learned.
