…As an adult. I’m very positive that I have ASD. I’m neurodivergent already, and I don’t think some of my symptoms necessarily fall in any other category outside of ASD. My psychiatrist gave me referrals for ASD and learning disability, and I’m seeing that most insurances don’t cover the assessments for adults.
I can afford it… maybe, max 1k if insurance doesn’t cover it.
My only question is, is it worth it to be assessed and diagnosed as an adult? Did it do anything for you? Did it help you in any way? I think it might, but if insurance doesn’t cover, then idk if I’m overemphasizing how “important” an adult diagnosis for ASD really is. Thank you guys.
