[CHAT] So glad I changed the grid thread

I posted a while back about the edge of my fabric and many people said not to use thread for my gridding. I needed to move the grid over by one anyways so I bought some fishing wire and set to do a small part to see how it goes and guys… I just want to say to anyone out there thats not sure to listen to the advice given because my days! Even threading the fishing wire I was going through the thread, taking the thread out I had apparently gone through it on the crosses. This may have been extra work on my end but it’s going to save so much frustration in the long run and I just want to say a big thank you for so many people saying to do so!

So we have a leader in training and today they were running one of their first shifts on their own. Security asked us to keep an eye on these two woman who had entered the store and said leader went and checked them out. They let me know over the headset not to sell them alcohol because they appeared drunk. When the customers came down to the self checkouts they of course had alcohol and I explained over the headset I wasnt comfortable refusing them so said leader said they would come down and deal with it. I tried to explain to the customers why I wasnt authorising their age verification but they shouted over me, swearing and cursing loud enough for all to hear and refused to let me explain and when my leader came down they just explained we have to be careful and authorised it for them! Then turned to me in front of these customers and said they’re not drunk just loud! Im sorry but what?! You said to me to refuse service, now acting like I made it up? I just been shouted and sworn at multiple cuss words thrown at me just for you to come down and let them have their way? Best part they didnt even have enough money to pay for the alcohol they just left with milk! So done with this crap…

Hey all! Just wanted to share some fish/sardine keyrings I made from scrap pieces I had. They’ve also been stuffed with even smaller scrap and thread pieces going for that zero waste! They came out a little funky though 🤣
