I have Time of Day (Time of Use) at my home. This means I get home at ~5PM, plug-in my truck, but it is supposed to not start charging until 9PM. This is set in the Ford app for the location “Home”. I have the preferred charge time set to 9PM-9AM.
It works like 95% of the time. This morning, when I got into the garage to go to work at ~6AM, as soon as I opened the frunk and unlocked the vehicle, it suddenly started charging. It’s like it was asleep all night and forgot to charge. Not the end of the world, I have charging at work, but still - WTF.
I thought this issue was because I had Departure Times also setup, so I removed all of those. However, now it happened again.
I almost wonder if this is 12v battery related? The truck has been doing a lot of “off to preserve power” crap lately. <sigh>
FORD - this is important. If people wake up and their truck just “forgot” to charge, that’s a big frickin’ deal! If it is a 12v issue, the truck should tell me!
