I'm searching for something as a kid my mom would buy at Asian markets

We didnt know the Chinese name just called them sweet bean cakes. Don't know if it's the same as dou shao bing

It was a sweet snack we would eat they were Flaky layers with the yellow egg wash on top (hezi hsu) but the filling was sweetened BLACK bean paste (hēidòshā) These were so good😋 They were made by a Chinese bakery somewhere here in California that now decades later are out of business.

As an adult here in SD I've seen and eaten Asian pastries like Filipino Hopia or Vietnamese Banh pia the outer pastry part tastes good and they have sweet RED bean paste, durian or mung bean fillings but it's not the same thing..... I know I'm searching for the flavors from happy childhood memories

Other than ordering online for a bakery in LA., is there a good Chinese bakery here in San Diego that makes this? Or if I was to order online, which Chinese bakery can you recommend that would have the best?
