MSI Vector 16 HX AI A2XWIG overheating issue (after RMA)
I just got my laptop after RMA. It was sent because of random Kernel-Power 41 crashes. And service center swap the laptop's motherboard.
But now I have strange overheating problem. Multi core stress tests are fine, but in single-threaded tasks cpu quickly reaches 100-102 temps. In gaming situations it throttles like 40-50% of the time. OCCT screen displays single p-cores tests results - test loads 1 of p-cores sequentially.
Other strange observations. I saw, that coolers don't work during post and they begin to work just after os logon screen appearing. I loaded default bios settings and did EC reset. Coolers began to work properly.
Also bios was flashed strangely after RMA. Bios and EC firmwares always come as one file for this laptop. But I got recent .116 bios and very old EC firmware (from May 2025). How is that possible? I reflashed bios and now EC firmware version is correct.
I also flashed recent ME firmware from MSI website.
But still I have this crazy temperatures. Are they normal? Can I do something?
