Hi, we had this self adhered 2 layer mod bit roof installed less than a week ago. Some areas look bumpy. I don’t have experience with this system. I’m hoping to get input on if this is normal.

The roof previously had shingles and there was mod bit on the flat roof section. We switched to mod bit for the entire roof due to the low 2:12 pitch.

I brought my concerns up to the roofing company via text and this was the response: That is normal especially after installation it just needs a couple more days of intense heat but to ease your concern I will have my guys pass by with the roller once again and will have them take a torch and pass it around any areas that may be tricky!

Any input is greatly appreciated .

Thanks

Hi, we just had mod bit installed over a 2:12 pitch and flat roof. Some areas look concerning to me but I have no experience with this type of roof to know if it is an acceptable install.

A couple areas feel and look bumpy but I don’t want to make a big deal about it, if it is truly just an aesthetic issue.

Additional details- tapered insulation was installed under the flat roof portions to help with pooling water.

Thanks!
